Default Wishing to Move tio Larnaca

I am a Brit , currently living in USA but wishing to move to Cyprus. I am in late 50's and an IT professional so would like to work for a few years yet. Larnaca seems like a good spot from what research I have done but I am very lacking in knowledge as to the best places with job opportunities, accommodation to rent etc. Any advice would be appreciated, especially about the work situation.

Best job opportunities are in Nicosia and Limassol. Cost of living is slightly lower in Larnaca. Larnaca is a better place to live.

Thank you Debowing. you are the only reply. I had hoped for more information but either people are not too helpful or do not know anything. Thanks again

I think this forum is a bit quiet....(The Cyprus section anyway)

I don't really know what is going on in Cyprus nowadays, but the economic prospects are not looking very good. I am half-cypriot half british (born in UK) with a thai wife, lived most of my working life in UAE and now I live in Thailand in Chon Buri (near Pattaya)...How is USA? Where do you live in USA?

The economic prospects are not looking good for much of Europe. I live in North Carolina and same here. I imagine that Thailand is still booming ?. Strange that you are settled there as that was somewhere I also was considering

Paphos is a popular area with British expats and has as much opportunity jobwise as Larnaca. It is a much prettier, greener area than Larnaca and has a better all year round climate. Larnaca is very very windy in the winter months with a very cold wind blowing from the East. This is the reason the East coast holiday resorts close down for 4 months in the winter.
