Traditionally Pafos has always been the place for British retirees and retired ex pats. It has the most favourable climate which is what attracted the retirees. It has now changed with more and more younger families moving to Pafos especially since Cyprus joined the EEC making working and owning a business easier.

You'll find british ex-pat communities in all the major towns now, but Pafos is still the most popular.
