Tax and Registration
What is teh tax situation here on earnings. Is it better to keep paying UK taxes until fully settled? What are the registration procedures?

We unregistered for tax in the UK before coming over as you pay much less tax here on your earnings.
A lot depends on your circumstances of course. Are you going to be working?

The Cyprus Personal Tax Rates for 2011 are as follows:
€0 - €19,500 Nil % €0
€19,500 - €28,999 20 % €1,700
€28,001 - €36,300 25 % €3,775
€36,000 plus 30 %
You have to be registered as Tax Resident in Cyprus to benefit from these rates.
