When we lived in Limassol we took out private medical cover with a local insurance company, I think it was Universal Life in an office near Curium roundabout. It was very good, covered 80% of medical costs and was about 200 pounds Cyprus per year. And it was the lowest cover available and met the minimum requirements for residency. I thought it was pretty good value. I reckon you should taker it out together with the E111 or whatever for emergencies. I might still have the telephone number and contact if you need it.
