Cyprus will
Hi, I live in London and my dad died 8 years ago in Larnaca, Cyprus.
Does anyone know how I can get a copy of his will without actually
going over there?
Thankyou very much :-)

Thankyou very much. I will look into the link. Yes he definitely made a will
and he definitely made it in Larnaca because my brother saw it originally but he is also
in London and doesn't know how to obtain a copy.

Re: Cyprus will
It may be slightly different in Cyprus, but in a lot of European countries wills are notarised. You dont keep the original, they are kept at a registry. You (or your father) will only have a copy.
Inheritance laws are quite complicated in Cyprus I believe, laws of succession apply

Re: Cyprus will
Your fathers lawyer should have lodged the will at the local court.
If you don't know who the lawyer was the court should be able to tell you.
You should be aware that if your father was a little bit naive about how things work here his lawyer may well have made himself executor and some lawyers will claim as much as 20% of the estate.
