Default Experiences with expat meetup/support groups in Toronto?

Hi there,

I'm a journalism student at Ryerson University and for an assignment I'm writing about expat and immigrant meetup/support groups. I'd love to hear from some people who have been involved in one.

Some things I'd like to hear about:

• how expat groups helped you settle in and meet people
• do you feel like you've become more Canadianized
• is your social group made up mostly of Canadians, of other expats, or both?
• where do you see yourself living long-term

If you think you can help, please send me a message so we can set up a time to talk (Due to the nature of the assignment, that would be better than just a forum response- but it can be a short conversation, 10-15 minutes.)

Thank you so much
