Default UK Spouse visa - accommodation

Hi there

I need to apply visa for my husband to come to uk.

I am currently living with my sister. We jointly owned this property where we live but because i got married i need to move out n buy new house we had to remortgage current house to my sister's sole name.

I no longer own this property even though i am living here.

So was wondering what documents i should provide for spouse visa for my husband. My sis has no issue if me and my husband live in this house.

I was looking for property and have chosen one flat, made offer which was accepted in Oct 2017 but lease needs to be extended hence property is taking time and is not completed yet.

So should i provide land registry documents of my sis house and get a letter from her saying she has no issues if me and my husband live here?

Please let me know what exactly i need to provide home office?

Many thanks
Mah

Yes. If its 2 bedroom and no other adult lives there that's all you will need. Perhaps add a utility bill too. However if there are other adults living there, you should get a property inspection report too.

If you are relying on your current house shared with your sister then don't complicate things by submitting docs regarding looking to buy new house. Keep it simple.

Thanks for your help. I was thinking may be adding some evidence of me buying a house will support the application, I am bit confused now if it will complicate the situation.

It will not support application, it will more likely confuse the ECO. If your logic is that by showing you can buy a house you are financially well off, well all ECO care is you are earning £18,600, they wouldnt care if someone is a secret millionaire able to purchase a mansion.
