Default UK Settlement Visa for child

My wife and I (who are British citizens) are applying for a UK Settlement Visa for our adopted Ugandan child.

With a Visitor Visa for a child, the Visa page/stamp on the child's passport states that the child can only travel with either or both parents - the passport number of each parent is stated on the child's UK Visa page.

Is this the same for a Settlement Visa? Will our passport numbers be on our child's Visa?

If you can point me to any documentation on this I would appreciate it.

Thank you!

Its quite likely your child can be registered as a British child and if so you can just get the child a British passport.

see section 3
