Surinder Singh Family Permit - can spouse leave the EU country I'm working in?
Hi there. Thanks so much for the reply before - it was very helpful. Quick question: I (UK citizen) am going with my Serbian husband to work in Vienna for 4 months to get the Surinder Singh route family visa for the UK. Does he have to stay in Austria for the entire 4 months duration I am working there or can he go back to Serbia to visit during this period?

He has to be resident with you while you are working. During that time he is of course free to travel and visit other countries (but can't live elsewhere)
