Default Should payslips be issued every month?

Hi everyone,

I already asked one of my questions in different thread but now I am still looking for the the answer on the second one.

My husband is going to sponsor me coming from Ukraine to join him in Scotland and will use his PhD stipend as main source of income. Since this is untaxable income we can use it under category where only 15,800 income per annum is required. His stipend is 14,400 net and he is going to add his employment 2,500 per annum (net), which makes total above the threshold.

The question is about payslips. The first six months he was getting his salary paid every three months so we have only two payslips till 29 December. As for now he's getting his salary every month. Can this be an issue? Is there any part of Appendix FM-SE stating that there should be one payslip for each month?

Will be grateful for any piece of advice.

I suspect it would be considered unusually for someone who is in salaried employment to be paid quarterly but it's not explicitly stated in Appendix FM-SE that you need monthly payslips, only that "a period of 6 months prior to the date of application if the person has been employed by their current employer for at least 6 months". Providing you provide the other specified evidence (bank statements, employer's letter) then you should be okay. Your husband may wish to consider addressing this arrangement in his covering letter.

He gets paid 2,500 net GBP PER ANNUM?

No, there is no specific statement in FM-SE which says that 6 payslips must be provided to cover the 6 month period prior to the application.

However, if one is applying under Cat A and having salaried income one would need to do so to prove that each month one has been paid at the level to reach the minumum equivalent of 18,600 GBP per annum.

You are not applying under salaried income. You should be OK if you have all the relevant bank statements to prove this income - although I would add that to be provided with payslips only every three months is unusual.

Even when I only worked as a Saturday cashier my employer would provide a payslip each week.

Dear SanDiegogirl, thanks for the reply. He gets 2,500 GBP per annum and we are applying under category C where we want to use his stipend as the main source of income. It looks unusual for me either but I guess the reason is this is part time job at a small company so it is normal for them to issue the payslips this way.
