Criminal record.
Hello I have dual Canadian and British citizenship and am planning to retire to UK next year with my husband of 30 years who is a Canadian. My husband is 65 but when he was nineteen he got a one-month sentence for shop lifting. Is this likely to negatively impact his application for a spousal visa?
I am very anxious about this so any information/ assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Providing he fully discloses his conviction when requested to do so then he won't have a problem.

June, welcome to BE. As BritinParis has said, it's so long ago that it's irrelevant but since you're new here let me say that BiP is an expert. You can be sure that he's right.
