Default Category A or F

Hi

my husband submitted the application last week and we are waiting for the decision. I just found out that he should have applied for Category F (I am an employee in a specific type of the company) but wrongly we considered him as an ordinary employee and submitted the relevant evidence.

Now, what could we do about it? and what is the chance that they find out about it (I am not director but I was a shareholder in the past and the company is now running by my mom) I know that no more documents could be supplied. But what makes me more worried is that they refuse the application for deception and non-disclosure of the material facts.

Any idea or similar experience would be appreciated.

If they find that the company is a limited company (which is sounds like) they are more likely to refuse your application due to the fact that you have not supplied the necessary company documents (tax returns, HRMC returns etc).

Presume you only presented your payslips and bank statements as a 'regular' employee.

Thank you for your message. Any chance they refuse for deception? I honestly did not know that I should apply under cat F

There are always 'chances'. If you know that you have applied under the incorrect category, better to withdraw it - that way you won't have a refusal against your record.
