British Citizenship
To acquire a British citizenship, a US citizen has to have ILR 3 years
while married to a UKC. Does anyone know of anybody who has acquired
their British citizenship before 3 years?

As she was under 18 at the time her registration as a British citizen under section 3(1) of the British Nationality Act 1981 was lawful, as there are no statutory requirements for registration under this section.
In other words the Home Secretary can register *any* child as a British citizen if he wishes. But there are policies that underly this discretion, and the British-born grandparent that Zola had would not normally have been enough to fall within established policy. Hence the controversy.
The Foreign Office in Britain recently released into the public domain most of the papers surrounding the Zola Budd citizenship question (under the Freedom of Information Act). This was done on 5th August 2005, so is about 75% the way down the page:

Probably don't know who Mary Decker is either.
Living a few miles away from the scene of the collision, I'm curious if any has an opinion as who was at fault.
