Bank statement with bank chop
Hi all,
Please help me with this. I am going back to HOng Kong next week for my visa application while my husband and kids in the Uk
My husband’s bank account is with HSBC HOng Kong. While he is in the Uk, he can’t physically go to the bank in HOng Kong for printing out statement and stamps.
Is there anyone has the similar experience? What did you do? Could I go the hsbc and ask them for it? Do I need to bring authorisation letter and my husband’s passport to the bank ?
Or anybody printed out bank statement from internet and get approval ?
Any advice is most welcome!

Re: Bank statement with bank chop
Can you get a power of attorney from your husband to enable you to go to HSBC in Hong Kong to obtain the chopped statements? That said, it depnds on what HSBC HK will accept, but it might be worth calling them to check.
I was in a similar situation, the account for our cash savings was with HSBC HK and I ended up doing a round trip from Beijing, where we lived, to Queens Road in HK just to get the chops done!
