Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody can help shed any light on this one for me, as I've looked through a number of threads and I'm not 100% sure.

My wife will hopefully soon apply for a spouse visa to join me in the UK via the income route.

I wanted to check if it would likely be an issue if my current address is different from our guaranteed accommodation for when she arrives – as I’ll be moving before she gets here.

I assume it’s fine as long as we are clear and have written confirmation that we will live at the different address (friend, family member or landlord) when she arrives, but I just wanted to double-check if anyone knew if I had to already be living at that address when she submits her application?

Probably over worrying, but any thoughts gratefully received!

A different address is no problem. To meet the accommodation requirement you'll need to demonstrate that you and your wife have permission from the owner/landlord to live at the property, proof that they own/manage the accommodation, and that the accommodation won't be overcrowded. Best of luck with your wife's application.
