Default 1 more question about child's UK passport application

The run down:
I am Australian and have a unmarried partner visa for settlement in Uk in my Aus passport.
My partner is British (born in UK) has permanent residence in Aus, eligible for citizenship in march
Child #1 aged 20 months has both Aus and UK passports
Child #2 is 3 weeks old, just got her Aus birth certificate, lodging Aus passport Application on Monday.

We are planning on heading back early April

My question is I have heard the rules have changed in regards to registering child #2 as a british citizen. We did this for Child #1 and it took longer and was very expensive, I have the form to do the same for child #2, and they are exactly the same as before. It says on the UK passport application to have the child registered as british and to send in this with the application, and there is still fee's for this also.

Bit of a shock as I thought we wouldn't have to go through this now. Can anyone shed some light on this and direct me in the right direction. Have I got the right form????

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers, Donna

Rules for children of unmarried British fathers changed on 1 July 2006 so child #2 is already a British citizen and does not need to be registered with the Home Office.

Just apply for the passport:
