Uk Spouse Visa Question
Hiya fellow Expats,
Yes as you can guess. another British Expat kept apart from his family with the new UK Spouse Visa laws.
Well, I have been apart from my wife and little girls for over a year now. They are back in Peru and I am working here in the UK. I was intending to go back to Spain where I used to live (SS) but as I send most of my wages back to Peru and can't save enough to make the move. I feel kind of stagnated.
I was looking at getting my daughters a British passport and while I was sifting through all the red-tape I saw something about Irish Nationals being allowed to bring their Non-EU spouse to the UK.
The question is, as my mother and all her family are from the Republic of Ireland, can I become an Irish Citizen and bring my family to the UK that way. If so, do I have to renounce my British Citizenship and what would I need to do.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I don't seem to be getting anywhere.
