AirBNB
We are planning a trip to HK in November. I have been warned off using AirB&B for accomodation as their descriptions can be dodgey ( so I have been told) . Any advice gratefully accepted.
Happy to receive P.M.

Re: AirBNB
I've used them quite a few times in the past, although not in HK. I've only had one bad experience. It's worth reading the reviews, and looking at the calendar availability to get some idea of the popularity of the place.
On the whole, I'm a fan of the site, and when I can get a two bedroom apartment for the same price as a hotel room, it works out very well.
Happy hunting!

Airbnb isn't the end of the world, provided you get some place with 'real' reviews and 'real' pictures. Don't go for something that has never been rented before (either a newbie or more likely a scam) and look at photos, especially for cleanliness.
I've used it before and it works well, especially for longer term stays.
