I am moving to Hong Kong soon to work. My 23 year old son wants to come with me to work. I have a job to go to he does not. He was born in HK in 1989 when we lived there before. Can anyone tell me if he needs a visa to work and stay in HK with me. He has a Chinese berth cert as well as a British one.

Assuming you and your son are not Chinese then it would appear that he would would have to be eligible for a permanent ID card before he left Hong Kong under the 7 year continued residency rule.
