do i need expat health insurance in hong kong
Hello everyone,
i am new here, i moved Kong Kong from France last month with my wife and 5 years old son, i had health insurance in France but since i am here now so i am wondering if i really need expat health insurance in hong kong?

Need ? I would say no you don't "need". Hong Kong has a very good public health care system.
Whether you choose to have private healthcare insurance is another matter. The older you get the more expensive it is.

Need? Well, no. You don't "need" insurance.
Want? Maybe. If you want a shorter wait or a regular / same doctor, or service at a hospital closer to your home, or something then a private policy might be worth considering.

as i wrote i have health insurance policy from France, now my employee suggesting me to buy or switch to here local insurer like ( International Health Insurance for Expats | Now Health Hong Kong as my Company HR suggest me )
and if you say i dont need to any health insurance here then fine, i dont need to switch and buy. but as far as i know hong kong private healthcare system is expensive, so i bit affred.
