I think somewhere within these exchanges is some sort of violent agreement. It's obviously very difficult to put across a tone-of-voice on forums which I guess is probably the reason for some of the previous conflict. But I want to thank you BOTH for your opinions. You are both helping.
Seems sensible that if buildings are still standing and structures have not been affected, then those buildings should be okay. As close as a guarantee as you can get in that part of the world anyway. I've got to say though that I was surprised that the airport was affected.
Dakota44...you're right. I don't really have that much of a say in the smog. Work opportunities will dictate Lima or Santiago, and if I relocate with my employer then that is more likely to be Santiago. So somewhere in the mountains, with an acceptable commute and satisfactory schooling seems like it's going to be the winner.
