Default Nicaragua fruits?

Can anyone help me identify, without pictures, a fruit which looks a bit like a fuzzy tomato/cherry and is known locally as a cerezita, (shades of cherry, obviously) and is VERY sour? Trying to help a friend with her search!

All I could think of is the Rambutan fruit...Kind of like a Lychee.
Let us know when you find out.

No...that's got a prickly kind of skin I think. This looks fuzzy like a peach. But thanks for trying!
