Well, I think I have emailed every multinational corporation this weekend questioning about business langauges etc.. I should be getting replies starting monday. I have found a few jobs at the US embassy that I am qualified for. As far as now, I am only aware of 1 multinational corporation that speaks english in office enviornment (im about 90% sure) and thats proctor and gamble.
Cross your fingers, I really want to get down there.

Hi, I just came across these old posts...I've been living in Bogota for the last 8 months and have yet to meet any other expats. Anyone currently living in Bogota? I would love to get in touch.

have you tried the poorbuthappy website? lots of expats in Colombia hang out there. Also, you might want to try a few of the Brit pubs around.... IF you live in Rosales, try the Blue Dragon...near Criterion and the Embassy Suites Hotel... alternatively, there are others in Usaquen.(Eight Bells).. in fact BBC in Usaquen get a few expats regularly.

I just meet expats on the street and end up chatting to them.

lots of questions here, not many answers...

but here's one more!

I'm hoping to find out what sort of employment options are available to me in Colombia, be it Bogota, Medallin, or elsewhere. Degree educated Engineer, 10 years experience, but happy to have a change of role/industry/life!.

Shot in the dark I know, but can anyone comment on what might be available to Brits? (with some, poor, Spanish)
