Anyone living with children in either Belize or Guatemala?

I'm looking for opinions on life out there, schools etc.

I havent been to Guatemala for quite a few years now, as in my opinion, its a real hell hole. I have read and seen many reports though on how things are there and would suggest you read up all you can before making any move, as after Honduras, its the next worst narco run country now.
