Default Internet Outage, Haiti

There doesn't seem to be much contact from members in Haiti so I thought I'd try the general Caribbean forum - is anyone familiar with the state of the internet in Haiti? It seems to be down more than up at the moment; is this right?

No on the ground experience but I would not expect much reliable experience in Haiti for much. Haiti is dirt poor you must know, that does not tend toward great services.
