Dont even think of ordering a rangemaster or aga...

I need a new range cooker, bottled gas like most of the caribbean i guess.

In the uk, AGA Rangemaster are one of the more robust makes, so i call for advice - yes sir you need the gti model with four wheel drive, gps and lace curtains.

I feel this, while not cheap, is the right thing, but being on a small island with a man called fred who is ok with appliances, but might need to know when to use a jemmy and when to use a screwdriver, i need a workshop manual with it and to know i can order any parts needed.

'Sorry sir, only gas safe registered engineers can have a manual, your local approved agent will have parts.'

'Great, who is he here?'

'Sorry sir, we have no agent in your country'

'Well, as we dont 'do' gas safe here, and you have no engineer - Can you sell me a manual?'

'Sorry sir, only gas safe engineers are allowed to see this.'

'And you cant sell me spare parts?'

'No sir, no non-user replacement parts are available.'

Small update, I have discovered that there are plenty of less officious? third-party suppliers of spare parts for these things in the UK.
