Default Re: 12 Years in Moncton

I am very keen to hear about Moncton as I retired earlier this year and I see an opportunity to 'downsize' from just outside the GTA Ontario and viewed several properties and found a gem in Irishtown....don't mind being 20 minutes north of Moncton just need a decent golf course and curling club......any advice would be very welcomed......

Honestly dont. It will suck the life out of you and destroy any semblance of a soul you have. There are a million better places to retire. No Funswick - the people of Walmart of Canada.

If you're retired, you can handle more snow and you don't miss the big city and its sports teams I'd say you've got it made

Downsizing from where you are to what you could get here, you'd likely be able to snowbird for a chunk of winter.

You certainly seem to have made Moncton work out for you...

If it were not so far away, I'd go for a visit.
