Carpenter/Great all-rounder
Hi, we are a progressive, custom residential renovation company located and working in the Durham region, East Toronto Area.(GTA)
We are looking Carpenters (rough & finish) with good, all round skills (tiling; drywall; painting).
Must have a minimum of 10 years experience to work with our full-time crews.
You need to relocate to the Durham region, have your own vehicle, and have your own hand tool kit, we can supply everything else for now until you are set up.
Our company is owned by an expat who came to Canada via the skilled trades work permit in 2006, so we know "the ropes". We have tried for months to find employees to join our team but haven't had much success.
We offer industry standard wages, medical benefits (after probationary period) and a great team atmosphere with a great bunch of people.
There is plenty of work but not enough guys to complete it! We thought we would try and give another Brit the opportunity to come to this great country.
I am not sure how much has changed since we emigrated, but we are willing to complete the necessary paperwork. Any costs must be met by the applicant though, but other than that, there will be no other costs.
If you are interested, serious (please, no time wasters) and have the required skill set, please PM me for more details.
Thanks and good luck

Hi, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but things have changed quite considerably since you emigrated. The LMIA that's now required to get a work permit (like the old LMO, but much tougher & more involved) has a fee of $1000 that MUST be paid by the potential employer. You'd also need to pay for advertising the job nationally in various publications/on websites.
So I'm afraid 'any costs must be met by the applicant' isn't possible, the only thing they are allowed to pay for is the $155 TWP fee, but your company must cover the rest.
HTH.
