Thumbs up Work in Canada & resident in UK - Tax issues ?

Hi,i have posted a question a few days ago along the lines of freelancing for an old employer .. but things have changed as they now want me to work on a FIFO basis ( 4 weeks work then flight to UK where I reside for a week then return for 4 weeks etc. ) .. this will carry on until Feb/March next year ... all flights, accom, car etc. etc. paid ... but now they want me to be a proper employee so that I can have all health, dental, life ins benefits .. but I will be UK resident and now presumably they will be taxing me at source in Canada as if I was living there .. I have PR etc. .. does this give me headaches tax wise ... now thinking it may not be worth it and I should stay on gardening leave ... any advice would be greatly appreciated ... many thanks.
