Won`t be cheap, but off-hand these are the only ones I can think of for a short term rental. They have their own bathrooms, small kitchen and it`s downtown Moncton more or less (on bus routes, shops, malls etc).

I would recommend somewhere central so you can walk around while getting your papers (SIN, Driving licence etc). I'm afraid regarding recommendations I cannot offer any actual places to stay because I live in Fredericton. A much nicer city overall and you don't need to be bilingual to get a career (lets see who bites first)

http://moncton.kijiji.ca/

They have everything from house sales, rentals, short terms rentals, the whole works. Should be something on there for you. Assuming of course it is Moncton that you had in mind?
