Re: UK Accountant with Canadian Tax Experiance
Here is a link to the accountant that I am currently working with on my Cdn/UK tax. So far, he has been great in answering questions that others couldn't.

Re: UK Accountant with Canadian Tax Experiance
Hi I have seen your other thread.
I don't know if you've seen posts I've made on this topic recently (about my experience).
This is the way we did it. We sold our house in the UK using a UK solicitor (we live in Canada and did everything remotely). They recommended someone who could give us UK CGT advice (a UK based tax accountant). We had a (half hour) paid telephone consultation with that person. When preparing our tax return in Canada (right now) we are using a Canadian tax accountant (because we want to be sure we get the (Canadian) CGT liability right and pay the right amount).
When are you selling? If it's before October 2016, you are unlikely to have any CGT liability in the UK:

You must report the sale within 30 days:
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/capital-...ntial-property
using this form:
https://online.hmrc.gov.uk/shortform...ww.hmrc.gov.uk
however, we didn’t do that because we didn’t realise (but have done it now).
