Typ1 1 Diabetes in Quebec
Hi there,
Any British diabetics out there who have moved to Monreal? I have been offered a research job at Concordia University and it seems standard not to offer extended medical coverage to contract workers like myself. I'm finding it impossible to get prescription drug coverage as I am not eligible for the Medicare prescription drug coverage as a temporary resident. Companies like Blue Cross will not cover me as they act as second payers to RAMQ.
Are there any companies which a) will act as a first payer and b) will take on pre-existing conditions?
I'm beginning to give up hope but maybe I just haven't looked hard enough!
