TWP and Job Hunting
Hello. I'm new here as you can see and I don't wish to ask a silly question in my first post, but I'm a little confused.
I'm looking for information and advice about TWP for Canada but I'm getting mixed up when reading the wiki and other info. How do people generally find a job? By which I mean do they apply from outside of Canada, then apply for a work permit? Or vice versa? Do people look for roles on usual Canadian job websites or use specific TWP sites? I'm sorry if I sound dumb, but I've been going around in circles for quite a while trying to get my head around it and it won't sink in properly. Can anybody help me?

I think it depends a little on what job you wish to do and if it is demand within provinces in the UK... A little more info helps but welcome

Re: TWP and Job Hunting
Hi, TiryTory. Thanks for the reply and welcome I'm in human resources admin (yuck, I know) so I guess it would likely be that. My job title appears to be under HR managers on the NOC list, 0112, and doesn't have a separate code. So I'm also confused by that.

Hi, and welcome to BE.
It's the job offer first, then the TWP - you can't do it the other way around. So you'd job hunt, hopefully find an employer prepared to offer you a job and apply for your LMIA. Once you've got the LMIA (it used to be called a LMO just in case the Wiki hasn't been updated in places), then you'd apply for your TWP.
Job hunting is possible from the UK, although very tricky unless you have specialist skills that are in demand, so the best thing to do is read the Job Hunting section of the Wiki which will give you good advice. Ideally, you need to plan a trip over there to job hunt in person.
As for your NOC code, how about this one? Unit Group It doesn't matter if you're in HR or not, if you're an administrator then that may be the best fit for your duties.
I'll be honest and say that your chances of an employer wanting to spend $1000+ on you and wait months for you to start work are fairly slim as an administrator. I know that Siouxie was job hunting for a loooooong time (a year or so I believe), and she's got already the right to live/work in Canada so doesn't require sponsorship. Do you have any other route to a visa? For example, are you aged 30 or under?

Or
choose an online dating website and find a nice Canadian guy/girl to date.
Get married and they sponsor you. Get PR and boom you can work without all the hassle of Express Entry, LMIAs, PNP etc etc.
Drastic yes doable yes an option yes.

Re: TWP and Job Hunting
You can certainly try, but you'd just have to bear in mind that to hire you, any employer will need to spend $1000 and wait several months before you can start work, plus prove that they can't find a Canadian to do the job. That seems quite a big ask for an administrator - not belittling what you do in any way at all (I've worked as an administrator), it's just that it could be tricky given a Canadian is likely to apply for the job as well.
But definitely give it a go, best of luck.

Don't tempt me! Although, for love it would make sense. It's a longshot

Even that job was way below her level and was actually a 2-week temp job that turned in to 6 months...
