Question Tax treatment of Equitable Life compensation

Hi all,

Has anyone else received compensation from the UK Government regarding the Equitable Life (pension) payment scheme? If so, how have you declared this on your CRA tax return?

For people in the UK, HMRC says there are no tax implications, but I cannot find any reference as to how this should be treated in Canada.

Thanks, PLCA.
