Hi
Due to ease of spelling and pronunciation, we want to change the way our surname is spelt for the two children. We can do this through the Embassy of our country, here in the place of our current residence. However, the Visas (IM1000) have been issued as per the current spelling. Will it be a problem at the Immigration if the spelling is different? We are planning our first landing in Nov 2001.
Your thoughts please. Thank

It will be better if you change the surname spelling after landing in Canada. As you have got Visa it may create problems at the time of landing, better change it later in Canada and also you can ask the immigrant officer at the time of landing what to do if you change it in Canada and how to get it corrected later your changes on landing papers in canada.
