Default Short Term Private Insurance Coverage Prior to MSP Enrollment

Hi All,

From your experiences, who would be best placed in BC to provide short term insurance coverage to cover the 3 month waiting period for enrollment onto MSP?

Thank you in advance and as always for your responses.

There are many. Pacific Blue Cross, Manulife, or go to an insurance broker such. You may want to arrange this before arriving. Bugger to break your leg coming out of the airport!

Medical Insurance-Canada : British Expat Wiki

Take a look at 'downunder' - you can insure for travelling over and up to 3 months after arrival.

Note that Pacific Blue Cross employees are currently on strike in BC. The company is operating, but there are reports that it can take a long time to get through to them, and a long time to get claims settled.
