my dad is trying to send me money from Natwest to my CIBC account
but having numbers in invalid

NATIONAL CLEARING CODE NOT VALID
IBAN SWIFT CODE NOT VALID

Have a read of this.

I've had money transferred from a UK bank account (Abbey National / Satander) before. I do recall that some of the terms used are different between here and there.

Here is what I'd suggest, phone CIBC and speak to someone, say you need the info based on your account for someone to wire money to you from the UK. Once you have this, give it to your Dad and get him to go into the bank in the UK and say he wants to send money to a canadian bank account, get him to give them your account information. Hopefully that should work.

when i did mine from barclays to Scotiabank

i needed the bank address
