What's the cheapest way to send personal items?
We are storing them for friends and they have asked if we can send them on to them in Toronto.

Joking aside, we moved from Australia and moved stuff in three ways depending on how quickly we needed it.
Stuff we wanted quickly, that we couldn’t fit in our suitcases, we sent as excess baggage through a freight company.
We posted some stuff to my husbands work - mainly light toys and clothes of my daughters that she would have grown out of by the time our shipping had got there.
Finally we shipped the bigger boxes of stuff -put it into storage until we decided we were staying and had a permanent address. That ended up taking about 6 months after we asked them to send it. Booked just part of a shipping container, so it took a bit longer as they have to wait until the container is full before shipping.
