I've no doubt that the help she has offered - in assisting a potential employer to obtain an LMIA - will enable her to earn a much higher figure. Be aware though, some companies will run when they see what she wants to charge on top of the LMIA fee!

Allegedly Canada will need another 48,000 truck drivers by 2024 and Im wondering how these will be recruited.

Once the slow down turns around the shortage will be back & if that shortage gets bad enough then maybe some changes in the immigration rules will make it as easy to bring in truckers as it was in the past.
Pay varies like crazy throughout Canada for truckers so that figure quoted is only a rough guide, drivers where i am usually Net over $3000 bi weekly and they are not flat out on their HOS, I have quite a lot from out East, QC NS NB and they wont leave till they retire as this kind of pay cant be matched out East. One of the biggest problems for new blood is the general rule of 2 years minimum experience before a company will take an application.
