Supposedly has a greater concentration of writers than anywhere else in Canada. But that probably dates from when it was a cheap place to live, because no-one else wanted to live here.
. Also it's growing and should continue to do so (as long as the resource boom lasts).

No, still true I think but there are a lot of slim books coming out (I know some writers and refer to them as the slim volume people). We grow good poets though if you like that sort of nonsense.
