Default Moving money to Canada

Hi, guys,

It's probably a question that has been asked a thousand times, but what are ways in which you, personally, have transferred money from your UK bank account(s) to your Canadian counterparts?

I'm considering electronic funds transfer with using my UK bank account holder or one of the many specialist online foreign exchange companies there are. How each operates is quite simple, you say how much you'd like to transfer, they provide you with a rate, and the money is transferred; however, I'd like to know if there are any extra fees, or maybe even the service provider take commission, a la buying foreign currency to use on holiday.

Thanks.

It has. If you use the advanced search function, you'll find enough reading to fill your weekend.

Hi

I have used currency online to transfer my money across on quite a number of occasions. It is a very simple and quick process. It doesn't cost as anything apart from what your own Canadian bank charges. BMO charges about $15.00 transfer fee.

Moneycorp offer competitive exchange rates and as a British Expat member you can take advantage of free transfer fees. Check out the page below as it gives you a good insight into the service.
