Metro Vancouver Property Purchase Tax - TFWs
A bit unfair on those wanting to become Permanent Residents and buy a house before PR like we did.
They will now have to pay an extra 15% of the purchase price in tax from 2nd August.
I guess they will all have to wait or buy in Abbotsford, Mission and Chilliwack!

. Cuz rumour has it that cities as far east as Ontario are considering to impose the same tax very soon.

Yeah they brought this in last month without warning. Pretty bad form if you ask me.
