Can anyone recommend any hostels is Montreal? During our stay in TO this summer we're gonna bus it up to MTL for a couple of days!! Shud be ace!!!

Here's one I stayed in a few years ago. It's on the Plateau and it was very cheap and clean at the time.... http://www.hotel-montreal.com/ Another time I stayed at the YWCA on Rene-Levesque & Crescent and it was reasonable, cheap and central to Downtown Montreal.

Otherwise around the bus terminal at Berri there are a lot of hotels/hostels but they look a little run down... There's also quite a few more on Sherbrooke Street.

There are a few universities in Montreal which rent out student rooms in the summer at quite reasonable rates and most are fairly accessible by the metro

There's La Maison du Patriote in the old part of montreal which is very nice, and there's HI-Montréal, which is in downtown Montreal, and this i've heard is very good.
