Help in finding someone.
I have gone through my late Mothers papers and found an envelope with the address of what I believe is a relative in BC. Canada. Is there a site in Canada for lost relatives? We have always been a small family, I have only one cousin so any other folks would be welcome. I am English but live in France.

I lost my brother, twice. He is lost again but this time he can stay lost.
My father 'lost' his half brother ,my uncle around 1932. I suddenly found the half uncle not too long ago. He wishes to remain 'lost'.
ConfusedinFrance.
I suggest you write to the address making very gentle enquiries. Yu cannot know the relationship , if any , between your Mum and whoever this is.

Seriously though using 411 if you have a name and even province sometimes can be a start before writing.

Re: Help in finding someone.
When my mum passed we had an address for one of her closest life long friends in Canada (before i moved here) a simple google search and i had her phone number and called her. Its not too difficult but as stated if you dont know the reason for contact with this person probably a nice letter would be best rather than a phone call.

It's always worth a go to try to make contact with the long lost, but the happy reconciliations so often portrayed on the media isn't always reality so be prepared for disappointment and try not to take it personally if that happens.
When I became interested in family history, I thought that I'd try contacting a number of cousins who disappeared when our parents fell out and most thought that too much time had passed and whilst polite didn't want to re-establish contact.
