Don't think he meant it literally. Having to get around on transit when you live SOFR almost entirely precludes you from having romantic dinner dates with people that own cars. I guess maybe he could find a date on SkyTrain.

I bet the cab companies just love you.

You're more likely to find a date on skytrain than sat in your car surely?

My original point was that I lived without a car for quite some time and experienced no social stigma. When I eventually did get a car, I didn't notice any difference in the way people acted around me as if car ownership granted me some new social status.

Not sure what your last comment is about. If you live in a city, getting a taxi home from a night out is something that, you know, normal people do.
