FBI Fingerprinting Form

It might sound silly, but what does one put in "Race" block on the fingerptints form for FBI? There's enough room only for one letter, so is it (in my case) "W" for white or "C" for caucasian? There are no instructions!

We put W for white on ours and we got them back ok.
