Hello again,
I wrote to this board before, I am the one with husband - former refugee - and him again who had a brain tumour six years ago (OK, so it was a great love, you can really choose in this situation, can you? :-))
I am the main applicant, applying as Computer Systems Analyst.
Will send the file to CHC London next Wednesday (Halloween!!!). Could you just point anything I missed:
1. Don't have my husband's birth certificate or police certificate from Iran. Explained the refugee issue in a letter, included old Home Office documents giving him right to remain in UK and the reasons, included UK police certificate (he is now British and lived in UK for 18 years).
2. My own police certificate from Russia will not arrive for months. I included a letter from Russian embassy certifying that I have asked for police certificate and explained that once it will be available I will send it.
3. Previous medical issues (sounds like convictions! :-)) The form asks a question: did you ever have a serious disease? On my husband's form I answered yes and explained that operation took place six years ago, no problems or disabilities since and we will provide surgeon's diagnosis, treatment and prognosis details if required.
4. Funds: We are currently about $1000 short of required funds, but I mention on application that once we'll sell the flat it will be a lot more. Would that do?
Thanks for helping out.

1. It should suffice in this circumstances.
2. Don't you have friends or family back in Russia who can go to police station and
get you police certificate? $50 will do the trick there.
3. Everything here looks as it should be done
4. You should include proof of flat ownership and it's formal valuation.
