A related thought comes to mind. I'm about to get my Ontario licence within the next couple of days. I'm under the impression that they will want to keep both my card and counterpart UK licence. Will I not have to 'show' the insurers said counterpart to demonstrate the driving experience in the coming weeks?
Make copies of it – not only for when you need to show it to insurers, but also to obtain your UK licence should you ever decide to return in the future.
