Default Can someone point me in the direction of the 'Police Officers' thread?

Hi,

Been searching on here for a while now as I was told there was a thread expat Police officers discuss the process of leaving a UK force to join an Ontario based force.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From my experience and the current way things are being done its highly unlikely any Police Force in Canada will accept any applications or hire a person who is NOT a PR or Canadian citizen.

Yes years ago Calgary Police and a few others hired a number of UK officers but that doesn't seem to be happening now due to the new Foreign workers rules or nominations for PR under their Provincial Nomination Programmes.

You can always try but I suspect most if not all will reject the application if not at least a PR.

It would appear from the thread linked to in post no. 2, which the OP actually started, that he's a Canadian citizen.

HTH.
