Buying UK food online from Canada?
I can find loads of US and UK suppliers but to avoid customs I'd like to buy from within Canada. Any suggestions or recommendations?
Thanks!

Whereabouts do you live in Canada? If BC, Western Family English Breakfast tea is *very* close to PG Tips in my opinion. It all depends on how good the water is in your area though.

Safeway and Sobeys started selling PG Tips here last year. I got all excited, spent a bloody fortune on the stuff, and found it to be not what I was expecting.
We switched back to Tetley pretty quick, and it tastes just the same as the stuff in the UK.

Near Ottawa we have the Scottish and Irish Store, but some UK foods there are outrageously expensive and often out of date too.
As time goes on, you miss UK foodstuffs less and less and each time you go back to the UK you bring less and less items back that you supposedly missed.

However, if you must, try the Brit stores mentioned above - some will do a special import if they don't normally carry the product. Alternatively, you could try asking Unilever if there's anywhere in Canada that stocks it - their main tea brands in Canada are Red Rose and Lipton, but you never know...

Or, apparently, you can email [email protected]

I'll chime in here to agree: The PG Tips in Canada is most definitely NOT the same as the PG in the UK.
The closest I found, tastewise, was Presidents Choice (Loblaws own brand) 'English Breakfast Blend'.

I'm just about to put that to the test with a pork pie I bought yesterday, haven't had one for years.
But anyway, the one main thing I miss are crisps because the American ones they sell here are awful. One tip I can share is that a box of crisps is below the weight limit and is classified as a small parcel, regardless of what someone at Royal Mail may tell you otherwise. So even though it's quite large it doesn't cost that much to mail it here.
